A bunch of cakes xxx

Just down the road a bit and round the corner from T&G is the adorably named shop "a bunch of cakes"... and while the name alone would get you in it's actually the promise of experiencing delight for each of the 5 senses that eventually won me over.  


Owners Arianne and Jazz have combined together their talents to create a shop filled with gorgeous arrangements of stunning flowers and delicious tasting cakes..and while I'm the kind of girl who likes flowers for any occasion (is there any other kind?) I may be tempted to replace my flower obsession with Arianne's Choc Liquer Raisin cake! The menu entices with descriptions of each cake flavour...'raisins steeped in Spanish Black Sherry combined with a rich dark choc batter'...hmmm I wonder if she'll let me lick the spoon???

Conversation Starter

I mentioned a couple of days ago that I am drawn to talented couples and I'm afraid today's post is no exception..this time however it comes in the form of super successful sisters (try saying that fast three times x).  

I have long been an enthusiast of the Zimmermann duo (even my clever husband knew to purchase me the Labyrinth bikini this Christmas) but recently this admiration was taken to a whole new level when I read of their mentoring relationship with Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales of Romance Was Born.  It wasn't just the fact that the sisters wanted to share their business savvy to help the younger brand get to the next level (although this alone is admiration worthy) but that they wanted to cultivate and harness the creativity of the younger design twosome!  Bravo x  

Plus along with all of this imparting of knowledge and wisdom they have also found the time to once again deliver an exquisite range for Autumn Winter 2011 titled 'Conversation'.  With pieces like these, featured on the ridiculously gorgeous Missy Rayder, making up the collection we here at T&G believe it is well worth talking about xxx

Maybe it's because I like to think of myself as one half of a talented couple that I seem to be drawn to other talented couples (hahah); or maybe it's just because people of like minds are getting together out there and doing some pretty cool things!!  Husband and wife design duo Bridget McCall and Nicholas Van Messner are another very talented couple that together since 2002 have been creating the fabulous label LIFEwithBIRD which we here at Tiger and Goat are very big fans of. 


Such is their talent that they are surely set to conquer the international market with Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa offering to personally host a dinner in New York in their honour!!  What would you wear to something so marvelous surrounded by key members of the American fashion industry??

Seriously the woman has walked for the likes of Chloe, Gucci and Balenciaga; styled for the amazingly talented Alexander Wang; collaborated with lifestyle brand RVCA; appeared as JT's love interest in a William Rast multimedia campaign; is mates with the guys from Ksubi; surfs; skates; is covered in gorgeous tattoos and always looks AMAZING!!! So on top of all of this she also finds the time to work on her own line of jewelry called Low Luv.  With bold statement necklaces, chunky rings, gorgeous earrings and fabulous cuffs and bangles that she's always seen layered in - there is nothing Low about this Texan hottie.
