We'll Take Manhattan..Xx Yes please.

The Goat will tell you..I am mad for romance!!  I love a good love story or even a bad one just as long as there is some form of romance thrown in I'm happy.  I am now literally counting down the days (and it may not be released till 2012 I've read!!) till BBC Four's Australian release of We'll Take Manhattan about the controversial (he was married...she was 18) and apparently explosive love affair between Jean Shrimpton and David Bailey.  Can't wait. Chip Chop Xxx

The Goat and I had been on the lookout for the last couple of months for a cool laid back label that had the right mix of good casual tees that you could wear back with denim and easy separates that didn't cost the earth..when by pure chance we lucked upon Chip Chop.  Melbourne based designer Hannah Chipkin is the creative force behind this gorgeous label with bold prints; easy to wear cuts and quirky design elements that will easily set you apart from the crowd. Hannah believes "..it's all about meaningful nonsense.  If you don't have something to say - say it well." Bang Bang Baby is her latest Spring Summer collection inspired by Spaghetti Westerns and the glamourous actresses of the sixties..and we're loving all of it.  No wonder Emily Collie of fashion blog Melbourne Girl thinks things are getting big for this Melbourne label. Chip Chop. Xxx

Something Else xxx

I have been meaning to write this post all week but Spring fever has bought everybody outside and into T&G...not that I'm complaining as I love lots and lots of fabulous ladies coming in to look at all of our beautiful wares.  However it does mean that I am delayed in telling you about my wonderful appointment on Tuesday with the super gorgeous Dani and getting to meet the amazingly talented and very down to earth Natalie Wood, designer of Australian label Something Else. xxx I must tell you I was a little star struck and loved every minute of it..plus the Winter 2012 range Metamorphosis was incredible with so many "must have" pieces that I wanted right now..and all for me.  Luckily though I had my T&G buying hat on and am so thrilled that come February we will be stocking Something Else. Love. x

Timeless Beauties xx

I am in love with the Spring Summer collection by Queen L that we have just had delivered to T&G..such timeless well made silk pieces that will enhance and work with any wardrobe.  The cuts are effortless; the fabrics beautiful and the colours are fresh without being garish.  Timeless..just like the gorgeous actresses of the 1930's and '40's that each piece has been named after. xx Love.
