I am in new label love for...Something Else.  This cool Australian label has so many fabulous pieces being delivered for Autumn Winter that I am personally coveting that there may not be anything left for anyone else.  Something Else successfully combines art and fashion in such wearable essential styles that are not only gorgeous and oh so desirable but are also really affordable.  New label new love for sure. I have spoken in an earlier post about just how much I love new deliveries..well you can imagine then how new deliveries from new labels makes me feel!!!  This week we have received new drops from Australian brand Ksubi and let me tell you I am in new outfit heaven.

Ksubi's Winter 12 collection titled WAR..is made up of fabulous printed tees, singlets, a little bit of leopard and a whole lot of attitude.  They have mixed and spliced their prints..they have delivered hot red skinny spray on jeans and a jacket (with leopard print cuffs!!) that even now as I type is calling my name.  This capsule is so hot right now as well as being super versatile  - worn back with your favourite pair of jeans and connies or teamed back with a black silk skirt and ankle boots the choice is yours. Shirt obsession Xx

I have a major shirt obsession going on at the moment..as Summer draws to a close I am dreaming of my new Autumn wardrobe and this year it all centres for me around the shirt.  Already I have put aside a gorgeous classic white shirt from French label Gat Rimon which is to be worn back with some black leather pants (or a black leather skirt)..a pair of great denim jeans or even tucked in to my new LIFEwithBIRD Lady Jane pants.  Then there is the silk Rebellion Bluebird shirt from Zimmermann in bright orange, lilacs and blue (delicious) that has already made an appearance worn back with my navy BLANK NYC cargo's..it too would look amazing with my Lady Jane pants..then there's the Metamorphis shirt from Something Else that is also calling my name..  Ahh no wonder I've become obsessed there are just so many good shirts out there..and thankfully Tiger and Goat has all of them. Xx

Neon lights...Xx

The World Awake A/W 12

My favourite time in the shop would have to be the days when new deliveries arrive at the door..it is just like Christmas for me unwrapping all of the delicious treasures and getting them ready to show you (and trying them on too of course!!).  February is one of my favourite months as designers start to drop their first deliveries of Autumn Winter and Tiger and Goat starts to look new and fresh and ready for a wonderful new season...


The World Awake LIFEwithBIRD's Autumn Winter 12 collection landed yesterday and already I am wearing the Lady Jane pants as I type..they are the perfect pant for this printed pant season ticking all the right boxes - the night cat digital print is a take on animal and floral mixed into one (pure brilliance); they're silk so they look and feel amazing and the cut and leg length is so flattering that they will transcend from wear now (with a tank and sandals) to wear throughout the entire season (replace tank with tee and add boots and a blazer)...Love. Xx

Some of the other pieces in the collection that I personally love and feel deserve a mention are also bang on trend again (bravo LWB!!).  Vogue Australia March issue has noted that this season fashion houses have re-worked and re-thought those classic staple pieces that everyone has in their wardrobe. The simple t shirt for example has now become the grown up tee, "...the contrast between a couture-inspired skirt worn with a casual cotton T-shirt is the intriguing styling secret of the season." (Vogue Australia March page 72) LIFEwithBIRD give us their asymmetry oversized tee in burnt gold made from the finest modal that looks fabulous worn back with the Lady Jane pants but just as good with a pair of beaten up jeans. X

The other twisted classic hailed by Vogue is the simple shirt..with sleeves and cuffs now becoming the focus in 2012..well really what more is there to say.  I am only shattered that I did not order an extra one of these babies in my size (must call LIFEwithBIRD now..) the Heart of Stone Shirt $360 with it's silk body in night cat digital print and chiffon transparent sleeves is too fabulous for words.  I am going to get my hands on one now and then wear it back with my Lady Jane pants for maximum impact!!
