The World Awake A/W 12

My favourite time in the shop would have to be the days when new deliveries arrive at the door..it is just like Christmas for me unwrapping all of the delicious treasures and getting them ready to show you (and trying them on too of course!!).  February is one of my favourite months as designers start to drop their first deliveries of Autumn Winter and Tiger and Goat starts to look new and fresh and ready for a wonderful new season...


The World Awake LIFEwithBIRD's Autumn Winter 12 collection landed yesterday and already I am wearing the Lady Jane pants as I type..they are the perfect pant for this printed pant season ticking all the right boxes - the night cat digital print is a take on animal and floral mixed into one (pure brilliance); they're silk so they look and feel amazing and the cut and leg length is so flattering that they will transcend from wear now (with a tank and sandals) to wear throughout the entire season (replace tank with tee and add boots and a blazer)...Love. Xx

Some of the other pieces in the collection that I personally love and feel deserve a mention are also bang on trend again (bravo LWB!!).  Vogue Australia March issue has noted that this season fashion houses have re-worked and re-thought those classic staple pieces that everyone has in their wardrobe. The simple t shirt for example has now become the grown up tee, "...the contrast between a couture-inspired skirt worn with a casual cotton T-shirt is the intriguing styling secret of the season." (Vogue Australia March page 72) LIFEwithBIRD give us their asymmetry oversized tee in burnt gold made from the finest modal that looks fabulous worn back with the Lady Jane pants but just as good with a pair of beaten up jeans. X

The other twisted classic hailed by Vogue is the simple shirt..with sleeves and cuffs now becoming the focus in 2012..well really what more is there to say.  I am only shattered that I did not order an extra one of these babies in my size (must call LIFEwithBIRD now..) the Heart of Stone Shirt $360 with it's silk body in night cat digital print and chiffon transparent sleeves is too fabulous for words.  I am going to get my hands on one now and then wear it back with my Lady Jane pants for maximum impact!! Behind the scenes of Tiger and Goat's first campaign Xx

Sunday..normally a day of rest for the Goat and I..but not this Sunday when we were both crazy busy shooting Tiger and Goat's first photographic campaign.  Our photographer, the lovely and amazingly talented Elisenda Russell brought so much high energy and fun to the shoot that it was hard to believe where the day went..and the divine Miss Daisy..well as you can see from this sneak peek she was simply divine.


We cannot wait to share Elisenda's shots with you but in the meantime enjoy some of the behind the scenes pics taken by the clever Goat.

I absolutely love everything French..their food (hello croissants); their language; their beautiful cities; their culture; their architecture but above all else I love their clothes and the way they dress.  So if you like me cannot visit Paris this year (would love to though if anyone has a spare free ticket)..the next best thing is for a little bit of Parisian chic to visit you.  


Gat Rimon is the newest label that will be available at T&G as soon as our doors open on Saturday the 14th of January for 2012..and it is tres chic. Xx  This Parisian label with it's flattering silhouettes; ladylike styling; premium fabrics (silks, gorgeous cottons and 100% merino wool to name just a few..)and desirable must have pieces have me dreaming of Le Eiffel Tower at night.  Each feminine piece is oh so wearable and put together creates such effortless appeal that I am seriously hooked..
